Family portraits of Northamptonshire's households in lockdown raised hundreds for charity

Bethany Olivia has raised hundreds for the Goed Life with her 'Life In Lockdown' family portraits

One woman's work to photograph life in Northamptonshire during the lockdown has raised hundreds of pounds for adults with special needs.

Since the beginning of MAy, photographer Bethany Olivia has been capturing snapshots of families and households who have had to spend more time together than ever during the coronavirus pandemic.

The childminder from Guilsborough has taken dozens of family portraits of life in lockdown - and now, she has chosen 14 of her best to share with the Chronicle & Echo.

Bethany said: "It's gone amazingly. The support from the families has been brilliant.

"I've seen all sorts. I met two parents who were police officers and we took a photo of their two-year-old in his dad's police hat. There was a family who had had twins during the lockdown, and they were only four-days-old when I photographed them.

"I've loved it. It's been so nice to get in touch with people."

But the portraits have also raised hundreds of pounds for Kingsthorpe charity The Goed Life.

All of Bethany's social-distancing photoshoots have been free of charge for the families, and instead she invited them to make a donation to the adult-special-needs charity.

She set out with a target of £500 - but now, her portraits have raised over £900 for The Goed Life.
