Emergency services rescue driver from car flipped on side in village near Harborough
Emergency services have rescued a driver from a car that flipped on its side in the main street of a village near Market Harborough.
The collision involved the driver of a grey Honda car and their passenger at about 6pm on Saturday, July 4, in High Street, Welford.
Villagers called 999 after the crash outside the village shop and Post Office.
Several parked cars were shunted by the collision leaving the Honda on its side and the driver trapped.

A local paramedic and a passing nurse assisted firefighters worked to extract her.
One villager said: “The road was closed by the police for about two hours diverting traffic both ways around West Street. The firemen managed to get her out via the boot and she was taken to A&E not looking too injured but obviously very shocked and discombobulated.”
A spokeswoman for Northants Police said: “We received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision in High Street, Welford, at 6pm on Saturday, July 4.
