Emergency services attend incident near Northampton Lift Tower

Police, fire and ambulance crews are currently dealing with an incident close to Northampton's Lift Tower.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 11.43am on 1 October to Tower Square in Northampton. The caller reported there was a medical emergency. We sent a paramedic in a car and two crewed ambulances and are currently still on scene.”

Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service are also in attendance.

A police spokeswoman added: "Police and Fire are assisting EMAS with reports of a man having a medical episode at the top of the lift tower.
