Detectives keeping 'open mind' over 'unexplained death' in Northampton

An investigation to find out whether the incident is suspicious was launched on Tuesday

Northamptonshire Police are today continuing their 'robust' investigation into the death of a man in his 60s who was found dead at home on Tuesday.

Officers were called to an address in White Hills Way, at about 12.30pm, following reports of the unexplained death.

An eyewitness said forensic investigators were on the scene all day on Tuesday and police officers remained at the property overnight and into Wednesday evening.

A spokeswoman for the police force today (Thursday) said: “The cause of death of the man found at an address in White Hills Way continues to be investigated with results awaited from a recent post mortem at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

“Detectives are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances surrounding this man’s death and continue to investigate it robustly.”
