Date set for plea from man charged with murder of Northampton's David Brickwood

A London man charged with the murder of Northampton's David Brickwood nearly five years ago has appeared in Crown Court.

Cameron St Rose, 26, of Forest Gate, London, has been charged with murder and burglary over the death of the 74-year-old scrap dealer, whose death has gone unsolved since 2015.

St Rose appeared at Northampton Crown Court today (August 17where he was remanded into custody and told he will return on September 18 to enter a guilty or not guilty plea.

David Brickwood was found stabbed and beaten in his home in Lindsay Avenue, Abington, in the early hours of September 26, 2015.

The 74-year-old scrap metal dealer's death has gone unsolved for nearly five years. An inquest into his death in 2018 found he had suffered more than 30 injuries in the attack.

St Rose was arrested in London on August 13 and charged with Mr Brickwood's murder the next morning.
