Circus clown issues desperate appeal for lost dog before they leave Northampton

A circus currently based in Northampton has issued a desperate plea for a lost dog before they move on.

Circus Cortex has been performing at Duston Mill Car Boot Site in Upton Way near Sixfields and is due to leave the area soon.

Posting on Facebook, the circus said: “Please help, our clown has lost his dog.

“She is a black and tan dachshund (sausage dog). She is microchipped but not wearing her collar.

"Her owner is Latvian so she may not understand English commands. This is very unlike her - she may have been scared by fireworks.”

A circus spokesperson told the Chron: “We are all heartbroken. The worst thing is that we are moving to our next venue without Laura our dashound.

"Maybe with the help of your readers we can bring her home.”

The appeal has been shared on Facebook.
