The national bookshop chain will have pop-up shops across the country at a number of professional football grounds to help celebrate the day that aims to give every child and young person a book of their own.

As children celebrate by dressing up as their favourite book characters at school today (Thursday), they can also look forward to more book-related excitement at the weekend.

Young football fans who attend the Cobblers game on Saturday will be given a £1 World Book Day token.

At the pop-up shop located in the stadium, children will then be able to exchange their token for one of WHSmith’s 12 free World Book Day titles.

Alternatively, the voucher can be used to gain £1 off another book in a WHSmith store.
