Calling all Northamptonshire musicians...help raise money for good causes with your lockdown performances

Musician and producer, Tommy Gardner is calling upon the musical artists of Northamptonshire to submit a track recorded during the lockdown period to feature on his charity album titled "One Voice".

The album will be released on Monday August 17 on both digital and physical platforms and will be a lasting memory through music showing experiences of the community throughout the Coronavirus pandemic.

All profits from the album will be donated to the Northamptonshire Community Foundation Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund which supports local community projects throughout Northamptonshire by providing grants.

Projects have included food aid, shopping services, community transport, care packages, telephone befriending services, online activities and educational support, counselling services, employability support, wellbeing advice and information.

The deadline for submission is Friday July 24, submissions can be sent via email to [email protected]Tommy said: "Music throughout the community has been stronger than ever throughout this pandemic, it has been fantastic to see so many artists streaming performances online. To be able to capture a selection of these performances into this album whilst supporting a fantastic charity is truly amazing"

And Mary Hollands, from Northamptonshire Community Foundation, said: "We can't thank Tommy enough for his innovative way of bringing together the local community and we can't wait to hear the songs"
