Baffle the Badger who crashed through Superdrug gets special plaque Northampton shopping centre
Baffle the Badger has had a walkway named after her after she crash-landed in Superdrug while sheltering from the rain - only to make media storm of her own.
Staff at the store in the Grosvenor Centre were stunned to see the wild animal fall through a ceiling panel and land behind the counter at around 9am on Sunday (February 9).

Today, she has been recognised with a blue plaque at the shopping centre where the incident happened, alongside a mural and a walkway which has been temporarily renamed as 'Badger Street'.
Northampton area manager for Superdrug, whose real name is Darren Badger, said: “We are so pleased that Baffle the Badger has been recognised as a local icon with this prestigious plaque.
"We hope that visitors to the centre who walk down Badger Street are cheered by the heart-warming story of her safe release into the wild.

At the time, Baffle was rescued and released unharmed back into the wild by the Northamptonshire Badger Group, which Grosvenor Shopping Northampton has made a £250 donation towards.
Sally Jones, the volunteer with the Northamptonshire Badger Group who set Baffle free, said: “It was certainly the strangest rescue we've had to do, and it took three of us to plan how to safely catch her.
"She was a beautiful badger and we are thrilled to have been able to help return her home. We are all volunteers and give our time freely but rely on support from the public for information and funding support.”
The Baffle the Badger plaque located outside Superdrug at Grosvenor Shopping Northampton was unveiled by BBC Radio Northampton host Annabel Amos, which calls the badger a "true Northampton icon."
