Actress who grew up in Northampton appearing in Emmerdale this week
An actress who grew up and went to school in Northampton is appearing on Emmerdale this week.
Lisa Ronaghan who moved to East Hunsbury when she was seven has gone on to create a successful acting career.

Hide AdThe 33-year-old filmed three episodes with the Yorkshire-based soap back in February ahead of this week’s dramatic twist.
Lisa said: “I’m playing a doctor for three episodes as a character has a very big storyline.
“They were the nicest team I have ever worked with. It was like working with a family.
“And they shoot so quickly that you don’t even have time to be nervous.”

Hide AdLisa, who went to Abbeyfield School in Mereway and Northampton Boys School for Sixth Form, has previously graced our screens as a robot in Channel 4’s Humans, as part of an Aldi advert and in Channel 5’s Inside Balmoral.
The actress, who was heavily involved in youth theatre groups at Royal & Derngate, still has ties to where she grew up as she is a virtual assistant at Northampton General Hospital.
Lisa added: “I tell people where the cafe is and remind them of any information they need to know.
“I think it has been there for about 18 months. It’s funny because people often message me and say ‘I’ve just seen you’.”

Hide AdAs well as TV work, stand-up comedy and improvisation, Lisa has also produced a film titled Satisfaction, which is up for ‘best comedy’ at the Crystal Palace Film Festival.
Lisa will be on Emmerdale tomorrow (March 26) and Friday (March 27).
