Patient taken to hospital after air ambulance lands in Northampton park during emergency incident

One person was taken to hospital following an incident near Victoria Park in Northampton earlier today (March 19).

Paramedics were called to St James' Park Road at 2.09pm to assist with a medical emergency. An air ambulance was seen landing in Victoria Park.

The nature of the incident has not been disclosed, however, the East Midlands Ambulance Service have confirmed that a patient was transported to hospital.

A spokeswoman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We sent a paramedic in an ambulance car, two crewed ambulances and the air ambulance was also in attendance. We transported one patient to Coventry and Walsgrave Hospital via land ambulance."
