May I through your letters pages thank a lady who helped my friend and me on Friday, October, 23.

We were visiting Pitsford Reservoir and found we had no change for the ticket machine. I asked people sitting outside the cafe. No one could change a £5 note but two people offered me the correct amount and one lady insisted I accept the money for the machine. I should have insisted she kept my note but in old age I did not think quickly enough.

The country is full of people being kind and helpful to one another.

Oh that we could hear more of these stories.
