Keep safe and thank you to the pathology laboratory staff at Northampton General Hospital

At this difficult time please spare a thought for the NHS Pathology laboratory staff as we move to the testing stage for covid19.

As a previous participant I know that they are, and will be for some time to come, a focal point for the effort to detect the vital information we need around which of us has contracted and, most importantly to my mind, who has had the virus and now has resistance. Hopefully with this information we will be able to resume some form of normality in our day to day existence but, as has been the case in the past this can only be achieved through the dedication of the NHS staff in general and pathology staff in particular.

This group more often than not become forgotten in challenging situations of this type.

Make no mistake there will be other viruses in the years to come all of which we will have to face and adapt to in order to control and live with these scraps of life.

This will need long term investment term and long term thinking.

Short term expediency will not meet the need easy and attractive though it may be.
