Our daughter Alison left Northampton at 18 years of age to train as a nurse at the Whittington hospital in London.

On completion of her training she specialised in the renal unit at the Royal Free hospital, and is now a kidney coordinator.

Alison was expecting part of her role to be televised on Tuesday, March 24 but the transplant operation was cut short due to coverage of the corona virus.

We are very proud of Alison and the whole of the NHS who work tirelessly to care for us all.
