How wonderful that your readers understand the awful mistakes made in the Northampton-built environment. We have regularly demolished some of our best buildings, including the Emporium Arcade, the Derngate Bus Station, the Odeon Cinema and many others. To top it all, the most heinous crime against our town was that our wonderful castle has been obliterated.

To some this is “progress” but your readers know it has taken some of the soul out of Northampton. What’s sad is that the powers that be make the same mistakes again and again. The experts do not know what’s best... but your article reveals that the people of Northampton do.
