I am sure a lot of people like myself feel that the compulsory wearing of face coverings has been introduced too late.

The shops have been open since June 15 but now six weeks later everyone is now told they have to wear one.

However there are a lot of people myself included who are medically exempt from wearing one and this is where the trouble starts.Retail staff, security staff, bus drivers, etc take your word that you are exempt on medical grounds and therefore there are no problems.

The trouble starts with other members of the public who see someone in a shop without a face covering and cannot resist having a go. This then leads to confrontations and sometimes violence.surely if the government want to make this law then steps should have been put into place to cover the medically exempt.I spoke to my doctors last night about this and apparently they all received emails last week telling them all that they are not going to have the powers to issue exemption letters.

Therefore I ask myself what are we supposed to do as I don’t want to be going into battle with people every time I go shopping.
