A cat that had been on a roof for 14 hours was helped down by firefighters in Northampton this morning (Wednesday, June 24).

A crew from The Mounts Fire Station was sent to assist the animal on the roof of a three-storey house in Berrywood Drive, St Crispin, at 11.25am.

With temperatures reaching 29 degrees celsius, the firefighters got the moggy off the roof safely - sometimes the cliché does ring true!
