Northamptonshire tapas bar launches delivery service

Takeaway lovers will be able to sample a new cuisine from the luxury of their own sofas after a Desborough tapas restaurant launched a delivery service.

The R Inn Tapas Bar & Grill in Station Road claims to be the only eatery in the county which delivers the bitesize dishes to your door.

It launched the delivery service a fortnight ago, and events and marketing manager Vikki Cheatham says it is going down a storm.

She said: “Tapas is not like the usual Indian and Chinese takeaways and it offers people in the area something different.

“There’s always a market for something new and we believe we’re the first in Northamptonshire to do tapas deliveries.

“We’ve got a really good support network in the town and people have loved it so far.

“People no longer need a babysitter to go out for tapas and the only complaints we’ve had is people have had to wash their own dishes.”

The restaurants offers a wide variety of seafood, vegetable and meat tapas, steaks, and even offers a collection service on Sunday roasts.

It was also given the gold award for healthy eating in Northamptonshire and the adjoining hotel received an AA 3* rating.

Miss Cheatham added: “The owner, Kris Malde, is very passionate about what we do and the customers are the most important people.

“We deliver up to 10 miles and we’ve had lots of good reviews.

“We pride ourselves on fresh, home-made dishes and we’re a small team who work hard together.”
