Northamptonshire man, 48, found dead after crashing Mercedes into ditch

A man from Northamptonshire was found dead after his car crashed into a ditch just off the A16 in Newborough, Peterborough.

Cambridgeshire Police found the Brackley man overturned in his black Mercedes CLK on Sunday (May 16) at 6.15am, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers revealed the single-vehicle crash could have happened any time between 11pm on Saturday (May 15) and when the car was discovered.

Police said there were no passengers.
