Northamptonshire girl, 12, celebrates third birthday
Charlotte Duncalf, a Year 7 pupil at The Latimer Arts College, was born on February 29, 2004, but normally celebrates her birthday on March 1 each year.
Mum Helen Revett says the occasion makes her feel special.
She said: “A lot of people don’t understand it and I think she likes to explain it to them.

“At the weekend Charlotte went for a meal with her friends and we made her a special cake.
“I actually went into labour a week late and said at the time I thought she would be born on February 29.”
Also celebrating his real birthday today is Philip Capps of Kettering, who is 64 but has only had 16 ‘proper’ birthdays.
Mr Capps said: “I’m really happy that I get to celebrate my ‘16th’ birthday this year.
“I think it does make you feel younger only celebrating your birthday every four years.”
