Northampton's Ellie Robinson just outside the medals in Saturday night showdown

Ellie Robinson has finished fourth in her freestyle final in the Rio Paralympics.

The Northampton High School teenager was being watched avidly by British TV viewers after her butterfly triumph on Friday night but it was not to be another medal.

Going up against her hero and TeamGB rival Ellie Simmonds, she came in a creditable fourth, with Simmonds in sixth.

People back home in Northampton were still able to show their pride, however.

Northamptonshire Sport tweeted: “Another really good swim by @EllieRobinsonGB 4th this time. Very, very credible against really tough opposition #proud #GoEllie”
