Northampton school will be seen and safe thanks to building firm's bright idea

A Northampton housing developer is helping to ensure pupils are seen and stay safe on the school run by donating 100 high visibility vests.

Whitehills Primary School took delivery of the hi-viz vests donated by developer, Bloor Homes, currently building at the Buckton Fields development on Brampton Lane.

Mrs James, Acting Headteacher at Whitehills Primary School, said: “These fluorescent and reflective vests are an excellent tool for keeping children safe so we are very grateful to Bloor Homes for their kind donation.

“With such dark conditions when children are walking to or from school it can often be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians, so we are thrilled to have received the vests – they are already proving very popular with the children.”

Vanessa Macnee, Sales Director for Bloor Homes added: “We are delighted to be able to donate these vests to Whitehills Primary School.

“It is vital that children, even when walking with their parents, are seen and safe.

“We hope that these vests will help to spread the message about the importance of protecting children on the roads and encourage drivers to be extra vigilant.”
