Northampton School For Boys raises over £13,000 for good causes

More than £13,000 was raised for charity by pupils and staff at Northampton School For Boys.

The money was the result of the school’s charity fundraising week held at the end of last year and the money was presented to a variety of good causes earlier this month.

During the fundraising week the school held a variety of events including Staff Vs Sixth Form Dodge Ball and the school’s own version of the X-Factor.

The week raised £7,400 and on top of this the school also raised £6,400 for the BacZac campaign for Zac Forskitt who was suffering two forms of cancer. Zac sadly died of his illness on Sunday.

The charities helped by the fundraising effort were NSB Malawi, Shelter Box, Teenage Cancer Trust, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Great Ormond Street Hospital, BacZac, GI Joey, Different Strokes and Animals in Need

Charity Week has been running at the school for over 30 years.
