Northampton postmistress runs the race of her life
A new postmistress and owner of two Northampton convenience stores has carried on her fundraising in memory of her late father-in-law.
When Shital Patel decided to run the Race For Life 14 friends, staff and colleagues decided to join her on the 5km Abington Park course.
The 43-year-old owner of Kings-thorpe Hollow Post Office and Jimmy’s Store in Kingsthorpe Road ran the race in Ramesh Patel’s honour.
Generous customers of the two shops helped the Patel family to raise £4,200 so far with sponsorship and donations. Shital said: “Thank you to everyone who supported the team - next year I’m planning 10km.”
