Northampton man jailed for 16 years following rapes of children
A Northampton man has been jailed for a total of 16 years for a campaign of sexual abuse against children, including the rape of a child under the age of 13.
Jason Scott James, aged 46, formerly of Duston, must serve a further six years on licence following completion of the sentence handed down at Northampton Crown Court.
James pleaded guilty to four counts of rape against a child under 13. In addition, he was convicted of two rapes against a child aged under 16, and one against another child under the age of 16.
He also pleaded guilty to one allegation of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
