Northampton man appears in court charged with murder of man found dead this week

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a body was found in a Northampton home earlier this week.

Andrew Pomroy was found dead at a propoerty in Littlewood Close, Dallington, just after 10am on Tuesday (June 23).

Today Dale Peter Bates, of Sulgrave Road, Dallington, appeared in Northampton Magistrate's Court charged with murder.

The 43-year-old spoke only to confirm his name and address.

He was remanded into custody and will appear at Northampton Crown Court on Monday, June 29.

The charges brought against bates allege that he murdered Mr Pomroy sometime between June 20 and June 23.

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses who may have information over the incident from any time within those three days.
