Northampton College lecturer Neil gets top teaching prize

Neil Tobin, was awarded the Silver Teaching Award in the FE Lecturer of the Year category of the Pearson Teaching Awards 2016, was presented with his award, as part of the national Thank a Teacher Day.

Selected from thousands of nominations, Neil is just one of 55 winners from schools and colleges across England, Ireland and Wales.

He will now join fellow Silver Award winners at the UK final of the teaching awards, in October, where 10 Silver Award winners will receive a Gold Award.

Neil said: “Even being nominated was such a privilege and I have been overwhelmed by the messages of support from former and current students.”
