Northampton car park reopens tomorrow after reconstruction
There will be a total of 175 spaces at the car park, which is 51 spaces fewer than when it closed, due to road configuration changes.
The car park closed in July 2015 in order to revise the layout as part of the Bedford Road widening and for use as a site compound for the road works and new road bridge construction for the University’s new Waterside Campus development.

The car park has been completely rebuilt, with new space marking and new energy-efficient LED lighting installed. Access will be found at the same spot as before.
New pay machines will take credit cards and are also set up to take the new £1 coin which has just been put into circulation.
Councillor Tim Hadland, cabinet member for regeneration said: “The campus development is making excellent progress and it’s fantastic to see it reach this latest milestone.
