Northampton boy was flown to hospital '˜with knife still in his head'
The 13-year-old was flown by air ambulance to Birmingham Children’s Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after an incident in Duston.
His mum has now described the “traumatic” aftermath.
She said: “He basically still had the knife in the back of his skull when he was taken to hospital.
“Luckily he was okay, despite how it looked.

A paramedic in a fast response car, a double-crewed ambulance and an air ambulance helicopter were deployed to the scene on Tuesday.
The helicopter landed at Millway Primary School playing fields and took the boy to hospital.
Police were called by the ambulance service about half- an-hour after they arrived.
As a result, a girl the same age as the boy was detained by police.
She was later released on police bail.
