Northampton bakery to help raise dough with Saints art

Eminent Olney artist Edward Robinson was enjoying a pastry from The Magee Street bakery in Northampton when he got into conversation with another customer.
The painter said: “After a few minutes I realised I was talking to Dylan Hartley, Saints and England rugby captain.

The picture depicting Christian Day in a line-out, on display at the bakery until the end of May 2017, will be raffled off for Toby’s Trust - a charity supporting an Olney four-year-old, Toby O’Grady, who suffers from a rare condition called Dravet Syndrome.
Edward’s works often sell for thousands of pounds and he is hoping this painting will raise in excess of £500.
He added: “Christian Day, so I am told, is quite interested in it, so fingers crossed.”
The painting can be viewed at The Magee Street bakery in Derby Road.
