The new venue, which was awarded planning permission last year, is to create around 30 jobs and could be ready as soon as spring this year.

A spokesman for ONG said; “I would challenge you to find another local operator who has invested as much as ONG has over the past six years into the town and encouraging people to come back to the town at night creating exciting, innovative and safe environments for the local community.”

The firm is also planning to create two new retail units and six “purpose built flats with a high end finish” only a few doors away from the new pub in the former Platinum Motors building on Wellingborough Road.
