New home found for Princess the dog after Chronicle & Echo story

A dog that was abandoned in Northampton on Easter Saturday has now been rehomed following a Chronicle & Echo appeal to find a new owner.

Tony Church, who works as a security guard for Mahle Powertrain, based in St James Mill Road, Northampton, found Princess, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier tied to a fence panel near the River Nene on March 26.

Mr Church and his wife took the dog to a vets in the town and she was then taken to Forest Lodge Kennels in Quinton.

As a result of the Chron’s story, Princess’s image was shared thousands of times on Facebook.

On Sunday, Forest Lodge Kennels announced a new owner had been found for Princess.
