Nene Valley Rotary boost learning for pupils

Members of Northampton's Rotary Club of Nene Valley have funded a major classroom makeover helping school children in Africa.

The club worked with the charity Swaziland Schools Projects to provide furniture to Hawane Primary School in Swaziland.

With £2,000 (half from Nene Valley and half from a District Rotary grant) the charity bought chairs, desks and storage cabinets.

Rotary Club president, Geoff Yeowart, said: “The club is pleased to work with this charity and help improve the prospects of children in Swaziland.” To support the charity www.swazilandschoolsprojects.org
