According to Beanstalk eleven per cent of children in Northamptonshire will leave school unable to read as well as their classmates. Beanstalk area relationship executive Jo Burns said: “Volunteers like Teresa are making a real impact - 93 per cent of children supported by Beanstalk reading helpers make meaningful improvement in their reading ability and our volunteers are at the heart of what we do and enable us to help many children across Northamptonshire.
