Man snatches purse from pensioner in Northampton...while she was on mobility scooter

She was travelling near Monks Park Road, Abington, on January 29, between midday and 1pm, when a man walked into her path to stop her.

The man then snatched her handbag, which was tucked under her arm, and ran off.

He was white, aged between 20 and 25, of slim build, with piercing blue eyes and blonde hair showing under an orange woolly hat. He was also wearing dark coloured bottoms, a grey tracksuit top with the hood up and plimsolls.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
