Man punched and robbed while withdrawing cash from Northampton town centre ATM
A man was punched in the face before being robbed of the money he was withdrawing from a Northampton town centre cash machine.
The incident happened on Monday, November 20 at about 10.30am at the Nationwide ATM at the top of Abington Street when the man was punched on the side of his face, causing him to drop his money.
The cash was picked up from the floor by the robber, who made off down Abington Street with it.
The thief is described as a white man, about 5ft 6in, about 50 years old, with shaggy hair and wearing a long, dirty brown mac coat.
