Man knocked unconscious outside Northampton restaurant

Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to an assault outside a Northampton restaurant which left the victim unconscious.

The 37-year-old victim was in the outside smoking area of the Chillies Restaurant in Clannell Road, East Hunsbury when he was punched in the face by a man leaving the premises between 11.20pm and midnight on Friday March 3.

The man fell to the floor, losing consciousness while the offender, who was with another man, walked away.

The attacker is described as white, around 5ft 11ins, in his mid-20s, of medium build with short, dark hair. He had a short beard and wore dark clothing.
