Madness really do like driving in their cars as they try out racing cars at Silverstone Circuit

Music legends Madness got behind the wheel of a single seater racing car at Silverstone Circuit to promote their forthcoming concert at the F1 venue.

The concert takes place on Thursday July 2, ahead of the British Grand Prix.

A spokeswoman for Silverstone Circuit said: “Madness experienced what it’s like to drive a single seater racing car, driving the Formula Silverstone Single Seaters - bespoke, race-prepared single seaters, producing 140bhp and capable of accelerating from 0-60 in under five seconds.”

Speaking about the concert, Patrick Allen, managing director of Silverstone Circuit, said: “Madness will be a fantastic addition to our entertainment line up at the British Grand Prix and a perfect way to kick off the four day festival we have planned for fans this year.
