Lanes closures and restrictions on Northampton ring road

Continuing roadworks at the junction for Northamptonshire police headquarters will see lanes closed again this weekend.

The work - to build a ‘signalised gyratory’ in Mereway - is near completion, Northamptonshire County Council says, but some lane closures are now needed as the finishing touches are put on the scheme.

On Thursday May 19 and Friday May 20, lane restrictions will be in place in both directions for safety reasons, but traffic will be able to use Mereway at reduced speed.

On Sunday May 22, there will be an eastbound closure 4pm to 10pm, for resurfacing and road marking.

And on Wednesday, May 25, when the works are scheduled to finish, there may be “some short delays of 10 minutes” while site cabins are removed.
