Inspirational women applauded for their roles at Northamptonshire awards

Northampton Borough Council's Women's Forum and BBC Radio Northampton joined forces to celebrate the achievements of local women through the 2017 Inspirational Woman Award.

International Women's Day awards at Northampton Guildhall on Saturday

The awards ceremony, which took place on Saturday, March 4 recognised women who have made a difference in their community, workplace, or local school by providing support or being a great role model to others.

Five women were shortlisted as finalists and Pat Haslam of NHS Nene scooped the top spot.

This year’s Inspirational Woman Award winner was announced during the International Women’s Day event at the Guildhall over the weekend.

The event included workshops and information stands from local organisations and services.
