The event, which will be held at The County Ground in Abington Avenue on November 12 and 13, will feature more than 70 food and drink stalls, gifts, a street food market, tasting workshops, and talks.

Mr Middleton, who appeared in the fourth series of the BBC1 show, will be appearing on the chef demonstration stage on both days of the festival and providing his behind-the-scenes insights.

He said: “I’ll be chatting away as I cook, and I’m also happy to take questions from the audience. It’s a great way of passing time while I’m whisking.”

Mr Middleton published his first cookbook Delicious Gluten-Free Baking last year and will sign copies at the festival.

Organiser Crispin Slee said: “We have a fantastic line-up on our chef demo stage. As well as Howard, we have some fabulous local cooks, Michelin Star chef Phil Fanning and Jen Charlton, who was a Masterchef semi-finalist this year.

“Howard’s sessions are great. They are a must for any Bake Off fan. He’s very entertaining and offers a captivating glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes.”
