Firefighters free trapped driver after 5am HGV crash on A43 in Northamptonshire

No serious injuries but Police warn of disruption in south of county for a "few hours"

Drivers heading into the county near Brackley are being warned to expect delays on the A43 after a crash involving an HGV.

Firefighters from Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue freed the trapped driver from his cab after the lorry left the road at the Evenley roundabout at around 5am on Wednesday.

One lane has been closed, blocking the right-turn access to Evenley village.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "Thankfully there have been no serious injuries but the road will be disrupted for a few hours while the vehicle is recovered."
