Feeling fit? Sign up for four 5km races across Northamptonshire

Decathlon is this year's sponsor for the four races that take place at Irchester Country Park, Salcey Forest, Brixworth Country Park and Delapre Abbey each month between April and July this year.

Runners receive a medal on completion of each race and those who book all four races with receive a free T-shirt.

Decathlon, which has a distribution warehouse in Brackmills, Northampton, already partners with Northamptonshire Sport in much of their work around the Workplace Challenge Programme. The firm encourages staff to get involved in workplace activities, they have a gym on site and a basketball court where employees can take breaks and as a European company, they provide English lessons to their employees.

The 5K race series kicks off at 11am on Sunday April 23 at Irchester Country Park, and there is also a children’s 2k race at this event for 8-10 year olds at 10.30am. Children aged 11 and 12 can enter all events but must be accompanied by an adult. For full details of each race, routes, rules and how to book, visit www.northamptonshiresport.org/5k
