Emergency services called to fire at derelict Northamptonshire pub

Emergency services were called to a fire at the derelict Old Red House pub in Hannington, just off of the A43, last night (Friday, February 19) at around 11pm.

Northants Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene along with Northamptonshire Police, who shut the A43 at Hannington in both directions while dealing with the incident.

Northants Fire tweeted at 11.30pm last night saying firefighters used four pumps and one aerial appliance to tackle the blaze.

Northamptonshire Police has been contacted for comment, but it is believed the fire is under investigation by officers.

The A43 has now reopened and fire services tweeted saying it was on the scene this morning (Saturday) for a further inspection.
