An early morning crash in St James has lead to one driver being rushed to hospital with neck pain.

Residents in Marlborough Road were left feeling shocked after waking up to find a grey Hyundai Tucson had crashed into a terraced house, which has left a huge crack to the exterior.

The incident happened at about 7.10am yesterday morning (Monday) when there was a collision between the Hyundai and a white Mercedes van, which involved the Hyundai crashing into the house in Stanley Road.

The driver of the Hyundai was taken to hospital with neck pain but no serious injuries, a spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police today (Tuesday) confirmed to the Chronicle & Echo.

The house remains taped off by Northamptonshire Police today and no arrests have been made yet.
