Kennel manager Mandy Hooker said: “This is our major show of the year and the funds raised play a vital role in our ability to continue our work.”

Northants Greyhound Rescue and Northampton Homes for Hounds relieve the suffering of dogs in distress by placing them in loving homes, to the benefit of the dogs and their new families.

Some have a sad history of neglect and cruelty. Some have passed from one place to another and are desperate for a secure future.

Mandy said: “They make great pets and deserve a second chance.

“This show is a chance to help them and to have a fun day out at the same time.”
