Assocaition chairman, Graham Croucher said; “The SJRA is endeavouring to provide as much balanced information for residents’ as is possible, on what is a complex subject.

“There have been many disingenuous claims on both sides of the argument so far; that of the potential benefits and negatives of the scheme, here is another opportunity to glean more information from experts in their field.”

The main agenda item, after the councillors and police updates, will be the energy plant and the association has arranged for industry experts as guest speakers, whom will be explaining key details of the scheme and taking questions from the meeting’s attendees.

The principal guest speakers are;

* Professor Margaret Bates, Manager of the Centre for Sustainable Wastes Management and Reader in Sustainable Wastes Management at the University of Northampton

* Chris Whall – Air quality expert (Director of AQConsultants)

* Simon Moody – Senior Transport Planner (Curtins).

Also in attendance will be Andrew Needham, managing director of Rolton Kilbride Ltd, the developers behind the scheme.

Mr Croucher said: “The meeting is open to all, but priority will be given to local residents in the event that the meeting is very busy.

“This is an opportunity for people to find out more about the scheme and ask key questions before the developers host their own open consultation event in April.”

The meeting will be held in the Tomalin room at Doddridge Centre, 109 St James Road, Northampton NN5 5LD.
