Delays of 40 MINUTES after crash on the M1 near Northamptonshire

Highways England reports that the smash is not expected to clear until at least 6pm

Two lanes on the M1 have been closed following a road traffic collision earlier this afternoon (May 5).

The smash took place on the M1 southbound near Milton Keynes (junction 14).

There are currently delays of 40 minutes from Northampton against expected traffic due to the lane closures.

Highways England reports that normal traffic conditions are expected at around 6pm this evening.

Traffic officers and recovery are on their way to the area.
