The victim was turning into Linden Avenue, from Pipers Hill Road, between 5pm and 5.30pm on Saturday, October 1.
As he reached Linden Close a car slowed down and the driver threw an egg out of the window, narrowly missing the cyclist.
The car was possibly a Citroen C1 or C2 with a registration that may have started KY56 or KY06.
The only description of the offender is that he was white, with a goatee beard and he was wearing a cap.
