Cups of tea, weekly exercise classes and smiling help keep 104-year-old Connie young says Northamptonshire care home
Connie Kirton reached the incredible milestone on Friday May 13 and she celebrated with family, friends and staff at Brampton View Care Home in Chapel Brampton.
Tara Reeson, recreation and activities co-ordinator, said: “Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some, but for Connie Kirton it was a lovely day celebrating another amazing milestone year with family and friends.

Hide Ad“Residents and staff gathered for a party and a toast to Connie. A lovely cake was made by the chef as well.
“We listened to popular music from her year of birth;1912 and chatted about big events that year such as the sinking of the Titanic.
“Connie said that she knows no secrets to living a long life, but is known for always wearing a smile and for joining in on our weekly Oomph! exercise and carpet bowling sessions.
“She was never one to drink, so passed up the champagne at the event in exchange for a cup of tea. She really enjoys her cups of tea, so maybe that is part of her secret,” she added.
